Refund policy

Return Eligibility

  • Return Period: Due to the intricate nature of ethnic wear, return requests are considered if initiated within the same day of delivery only.
  • Non-Returnable Items: Final sale items, sarees with stitched blouses, customized, and personalized products cannot be returned.
  • Product Condition: Items must be in their original, unused condition with all labels & tags intact.
  • Return Conditions: Returns are accepted only for items that are damaged, defective, or significantly different from the online description.
  • Approval: All returns are subject to approval. SALWAR MAHAL reserves the right to reject returns if proper care or instructions are not followed.
  • Next-Day Delivery Items: Items marked as "Next-Day Delivery" are eligible for exchanges only and cannot be returned for a refund.

 

How to Return a Product

  • Return Request: Contact us via WhatsApp (+97150 680 1323) or email (hello@salwarmahal.com) with your order number and reason for the return request.

 

Shipping and Return Charges

  • UAE: A return delivery fee of AED 15 applies for orders within the UAE. Customers who wish to avoid this fee can drop off returns at our Al Nahda 2, Dubai fulfillment center with prior notice.
  • Sri Lanka: Return delivery fees apply based on location. Customers may also drop off returns at our Wellawatte, Colombo 06 fulfillment center with prior notice.
  • International: Customers must bear the return postage fee to one of our fulfillment centers.

 

Refund & Store Credit Policy

  • Quality Check: All returned products undergo a quality check before processing a refund.
  • Refund Options: Customers can choose between:
  1. Store Credit – 100% value credited to your account, valid for 12 months.
  2. Refund to Original Payment Method – Subject to processing fees.


Refund Timeline & Fees:

  • Card Payments: Refunds are issued back to your card within 5 business days of approval. A 2.5% card processing fee applies. Additional bank processing time of 5-7 business days may apply.
  • Cash on Delivery Orders: Refunds are processed via bank transfer within 5 business days after approval. A AED 10 bank deposit service charge applies.
  • International Orders: Refunds are processed based on applicable banking procedures, and customers must cover any associated fees.


Return & Cancellation Policy

  • Returns: Return requests must be placed within the same day of delivery.
  • Cancellations: Order cancellations are only accepted within 24 hours of placing the order.
